Project Rescue Mentor/Manager Program
The Mentor/Manager Program is an initiative to enlist extra
help for especially troubled program members.
This endeavor is a “last ditch” attempt to salvage a man’s
program and keep him from quitting.
This effort is also intended to protect and nurture Project
Rescue’s relationship with the program member’s home congregation.
We are going to use two
present special cases to write and try this program:
1.
Alan
Watkins of the Grant Street church of Christ has agreed to be ??????????’s
Mentor/Manager.
2.
Siegfried Bill of the Madison church of Christ
has agreed to be ???????????s’ Mentor/Manager.
The following is a breakdown of the responsibilities of the Director, Program
Manager, Mentor/Manager, and Program Member for this special program:
Responsibilities of Director,
Charles Baggett:
1.
Charles can step in at any time for any reason
and make changes to this program if he deems it is necessary.
2.
Charles will decide when the program member may
have use of a vehicle.
3.
Charles will decide when the Program Manager must
take action to protect staff members, other program members, Beltline church
members and/or Project Rescue property.
Responsibilities of Program
Manager, Ronnie Crocker:
1.
Ronnie will take immediate action if the program
member becomes an imminent threat.
2.
Ronnie will contact Charles when he believes the
program member is about to become a threat to staff, other program members,
Beltline church members and/or Project Rescue property.
3.
Ronnie will administer random drug tests and
report results to the Mentor/Manager.
4.
Ronnie will administer random room searches and
report results to the Mentor/Manager.
5.
Ronnie will report any and all negative behavior
to the Mentor/Manager.
6.
The Mentor/Manager and Ronnie will address the
man’s housing, food and transportation needs.
7.
The Mentor/Manager and Ronnie will work out
visitation matters.
8.
The Mentor/Manager and Ronnie will work out
overnight excursions.
9.
The Mentor/Manager and Ronnie will work out the
member’s program fee payment plan.
10.
The Mentor/Manager and Ronnie will work out his
schedule for Bible classes and one-on-one counseling sessions.
Responsibilities of the
Mentor/Manager:
1.
He is responsible for the personal program of the
program member.
2.
He decides how much traveling freedom the program
member is to have.
3.
He decides how much financial freedom the program
member is to have.
4.
He decides how much cell phone freedom the
program member is to have.
5.
He alone will rebuke the program member if a
rebuke is needed.
6.
He alone will decide when to give a
consequence to the program member.
7.
He will work with the Program member’s
family.
8.
The Mentor/Manager and Ronnie will work out
visitation matters.
9.
The Mentor/Manager and Ronnie will work out
overnight excursions.
10.
The Mentor/Manager and Ronnie will work out the
member’s program fee payment plan.
11.
The Mentor/Manager and Ronnie will work out his
schedule for Bible classes and one-on-one counseling sessions.
Responsibilities of the
Program Member:
1.
He is to relay all complaints only to his
Mentor/Manager. Gossiping to church
members may result in immediate expulsion form the program.
2.
He is not to threaten or harm any Project Rescue
staff member, program member, and/or Beltline church member.
3.
He is not to damage Project Rescue property.
4.
He must submit to a random drug test.
A refusal will be determined as positive for his drug of choice.
5.
He is not allowed to possess cash.
6.
He must submit to random room searches.
7.
He must have previous permission from his
Mentor/Manager before he leaves Project
Rescue Property.
8.
He must have previous permission from his
Mentor/Manager before he misses a scheduled Bible class, counseling session,
and/or church service.
9.
He must have previous permission from his
Mentor/Manager before he takes a day off work.
10.
He must have previous permission from his
Mentor/Manager before anyone visits him.
