Are You Looking…

We want to help you!!!

Project Rescue is designed for the man who wants the help we offer. We are a Bible based, in-house addiction recovery program. We do not force you to accept and conform to our belief system. We are not a church. We are a 501c3 non-profit corporation. For Bible classes and worship, we attend the Beltline church of Christ.

What to expect…

We are different than the typical drug program. Project Rescue’s founder and director Ronnie Crocker spent time in many rehab centers and sober living houses during his 15 years of active addiction. This is why Project Rescue’s design is more of a home/family atmosphere rather than institutional.

We have 19 acres in beautiful Priceville, Alabama. Here is a link to a video of our facilities and grounds.

When you arrive…

When you arrive, of course, we search your possessions for drugs. We do not separate a man from his family, as most drug programs do. On the first day, you will be given a cell phone, so you can keep in touch with your family. Also, they will be allowed to visit as often as they want.

A typical day in Project Rescue…

Monday through Friday, you will attend the 8am meeting and Bible class. You will meet with a professional counselor once a week. For your first 30 days, we will try our best to keep you busy. On a typical day, from 9am to 4pm, you will spend time on the following activities: Studying a workbook entitled Bible Benefits Found in the Gospel of John. You will go on hikes, to the gym, and/or movies. You will work on the grounds, cutting grass, weed-eating, cleaning vehicles, etc. You will make your own breakfast and lunch. The evening meal is served at 5:30. At 6:30pm, a Bible class is conducted by volunteers. On Saturdays, most of your day is free-time. Then, on Sundays, we go to the morning and evening services at the Beltline church of Christ.

After 30 days in Project Rescue…

Our plan is for you to begin looking for a job on day 30. Jobs that paid $9 an hour two and a half years ago, are now paying $17 to $20 an hour. Our goal is for you to find a job that you love, where you can make a lot of money to save for your own vehicle and apartment. We want you to become financially independent of your family! If you have your own car, we have a plan in place for you to drive it to and from work, shopping, to the gym and church.

After 3 months in Project Rescue…

If you go 3 months without a relapse, you will be given a Visa debit card each week with $100 of your money. Now, you will be able to go out with another trusted member and purchase your own wants and needs. When you turn in your receipts each week, you get another card.

After 6 months in Project Rescue…

If you succeed in going 6 months without a relapse, you will enter a time of great freedom: Control of your finances will be turned over to you. You will get your own bank account. Also, you will now have the freedom to travel without getting permission ahead of time. You will be allowed to go home on the weekends. You will become less involved in Project Rescue classes and activities, and more involved in the church with which you choose to work and worship. You will be required to submit random drug tests. At this time, you will also be allowed to move out into your own apartment. For your second 6 months in the program, we want to feel like you are totally free.
